Five House Members Added As Local Radio Freedom Act Cosponsors

WASHINGTON, DC -- Five Members of the House of Representatives have joined as cosponsors of a bipartisan resolution that opposes "any new performance fee, tax, royalty, or other charge" on local broadcast radio stations. The Local Radio Freedom Act (LRFA) now has 185 cosponsors in the House and 22 in the Senate.

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The National Association of Broadcasters revealed new research today from Morning Consult confirming the critical role that radio and TV broadcasters play in times of emergency. Indeed, the polling shows that in emergency situations, Americans turn to broadcast TV and radio above all other media by a factor of nearly four to one.

Media Files for Real ID

The Governor has signed a bill into law that brings New Mexico into Real ID compliance. Additionally, New Mexico has received an extension under the Real ID Act. That means current New Mexico driverís licenses and identification cards can be used to enter federal facilities and board domestic flights until October 1, 2020.

If your driverís license expires before October 1, 2020, you are urged to renew their driverís license on your normal renewal cycle. If your driverís license expires after October 1, 2020, you will receive a postcard asking you to come into the MVD to obtain a new credential.

Please bring a social security card and birth certificate to the MVD when you come in for a new driverís license.
