Local Radio Freedom Act Adds Four Cosponsors in House

WASHINGTON, DC -- Four Members of the House of Representatives have joined as cosponsors of a bipartisan resolution that opposes "any new performance fee, tax, royalty, or other charge" on local broadcast radio stations. The Local Radio Freedom Act (LRFA) now has 195 cosponsors in the House and 22 in the Senate.

Caroline Beasley Elected as NAB Joint Board Chair

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Caroline Beasley, CEO, Beasley Media Group, has been unanimously elected as NAB joint board chair by the NAB Joint Board of Directors. Beasley takes over from Dave Lougee, president and CEO of TEGNA Media, whose term expired.

Produced by the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) and the Radio Advertising Bureau (RAB), the Radio Show will be held September 5-8 at the JW Marriott in Austin, Texas.

NAB Statement on Court Ruling on Emergency Stay of UHF Discount Restoration
