KOAT 7 Albuquerque

In 2022, KOAT 7 joined forces with United Way of Central New Mexico, Alta Mira, Nusenda Credit Union, and participating Blake’s Lotaburger and Albertson’s Market for our annual KOATs for Kids. This year, the added convenience of taking donations through the United Way of Central New Mexico allowed the KOAT team to process contributions, too. These convenient locations allowed New Mexicans to donate across the state. Since 1989, this statewide community service event has delivered more than 300,000 coats to needy children. Every year, thanks to our viewers and partners, we are able to help kids across the state.

“KOAT understands communities throughout New Mexico are facing difficult circumstances. Families and our littlest one’s needs are not being met and we are determined to help,” said President and General Manager Lori Waldon. “We’re seeing record inflation impact our neighbors and we are invigorated to see our viewers and community partners step up to make sure children have the basics to stay warm and healthy this winter.”
