Every week for seven years and counting⊠Thatâs how long KOB4 has been Paying it 4ward with a $400 donation to amazing local heroes. Recipients have included those who help families in need, the elderly, a neighbor, the military, homeless pets and more. Any New Mexican can nominate someone they know who is helping others and their community. And, to spread the goodwill even further, a heart-warming weekly story documents the $400 nominators who really do âStand 4 New Mexicoâ. Another aspect of âPay it 4wardâ is the series of phone bank âhotlinesâthe station holds throughout the year to put non-profits in touch with those who need their help, or to raise money for important needs.
âPay it 4wardâ is just one way our brand really means something, especially during these tough times,â explains station Vice President/general manager Michelle Donaldson. âItâs critical that the communities we serve know about the many good folks living here and also important to use our broad reach to connect those who need help with those who CAN help. The project underscores that broadcastersâ commitment to serve our community.
