Wildfires and the subsequent flashing flooding that northern New Mexico experienced this year were devastating. Although the damage wasn’t in our immediate DMA, Cumulus radio stations in Albuquerque understood the impact for all New Mexicans. In May, all seven Cumulus Albuquerque stations at joined The Salvation Army to fill four box trucks with non-perishable food, new linens and pillows, batteries and more. With the full support of the UNM Athletic office and the help of football players and cheerleaders, Cumulus Albuquerque gathered all day at the Cottonwood Mall and were not disappointed. It’s always thrilling to quickly put together events that can positively impact communities throughout the state.
