Ombudsmen Volunteers

You are invited to volunteer with New Mexico Aging & Long-Term Services. As an extension of our team, you will contribute to its mission to ensure New Mexico’s older adults remain active participants in their communities, age with respect and dignity, and are protected from abuse, neglect, and exploitation. We have a variety of opportunities, all of which include training and coaching, helping seniors and adults living with disabilities, and making a difference in their lives and enriching your own.

Volunteers help ALTSD with a variety of program initiatives and have a direct impact on improving the quality of life of aging adults or adults with disabilities. Last year alone our volunteer’s financial impact was over 13 million dollars with just 1,369 volunteers serving across New Mexico.

Are you ready to help?  We have a volunteer program for everyone. Listed below are all of our volunteer programs and there just might be one for you!
