Public Education Partnership

WHAT IS THE PEP PROGRAM?

The PEP program is a public awareness partnership between NMBA radio and television stations and community groups across the state. This program, which has been in service for more than 20 years, is available to government agencies and non-profit organizations whose advertising funds are limited. These organizations make a grant of funds to the NMBA in exchange for spots on NM radio and television.

Television or radio announcements provided by the PEP partner are distributed to stations across the state and broadcasters are asked to run the announcements voluntarily on an “as available” basis. Monthly performance affidavits are provided to the PEP client.

The NMBA is the only organization in the state that can provide the PEP program and is a sole source provider.
