NMBA Awards Nomination Form

The NMBA Hall of Fame award is presented to an individual or team who has illustrated over time a consistent and unique impact on broadcasting in New Mexico. The nominee’s contributions may have resulted in a wide range of outcomes including, but not limited to, enhancing the quality of broadcasting and/or improving service to their community through their broadcasting efforts. Candidates must have been in broadcasting in New Mexico for at least 5 years.

Zia Excellence Award (formerly Broadcaster of the Year) is awarded to an individual or a cooperative group of individuals who have demonstrated an outstanding and exceptional contribution to the broadcast industry in New Mexico within the past calendar year. Through their work, the candidate(s) demonstrate a deep commitment to the continued success of their station, the industry and/or the Association.

The NMBA North Star Award, is a tribute to the legendary broadcaster Bill Anderson, and recognizes the impact his dedication to the broadcast industry had in New Mexico.

The NMBA North Star Award honors a broadcaster who exemplifies professional excellence, personal integrity, and visionary spirit, continuing Bill Anderson’s legacy of bringing out the best in others.

Submissions for either award must include a 500-word or less description of the candidate and the reasons for the nomination as well as a letter of recommendation from a source other than the nominating source.
